tomarā vaiṣṇava-gaṇa,     mora ei nivedana,

Having arranged a variety of auspicious items, the host offers his invitations: "Please be merciful and come. O Vaiṣṇavas, this is my humble appeal to you—please cast your merciful glance upon this endeavor and bring it to a perfect, successful completion."

kari eto nivedana,     ānilo mohānta-gaṇa,
kīrtanera kare adhivāsa
aneka bhāgyera phale,     vaiṣṇava āsiyā mile,
kāli habe mahotsava-vilāsa (2)

With these heartfelt entreaties, the exalted mahāntas (leading devotees) are brought forward to perform the adhivāsa ceremony for the kīrtana. It is only by the fruit of great fortune that the Vaiṣṇavas have come together here. Tomorrow, the joyful grand festival (mahotsava) will take place!

pūribe sabāra abhilāṣa
śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanyacandra,     sakala bhakata-vṛnda,
guṇa gāya vṛndāvana dāsa (3)

Together, they will relish singing the pastimes of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and everyone's heart's desires will be fulfilled. Vṛndāvana dāsa thus sings the glories of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanyacandra and His entire assembly of devotees.

First, banana trees are planted, auspicious water pots (pūrṇa-ghaṭas) are established, and rows of mango leaves are strung up. The brāhmaṇas recite Vedic mantras, the women joyfully call out "Jaya! Jaya!", and everyone else enthusiastically chants "Hari! Hari!"

Using auspicious items like yogurt and ghee, everyone makes a joyful uproar, openly manifesting their bliss. Bringing the Vaiṣṇavas forward and honoring them with flower garlands and sandalwood paste, the auspicious adhivāsa ceremony for the kīrtana begins.

Everyone's heart is filled with bliss at the arrival of the Vaiṣṇavas, knowing that tomorrow there will be a grand kīrtana glorifying Śrī Caitanya. Vṛndāvana dāsa, whose very refuge is Śrī Nityānanda, sings the glories of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya's holy name.
